George Becker died this morning at his home on Henry Street.  Death resulted from typhoid fever.  Mr. Becker was elected a member of the board of infirmary directors in 1886 and re-elected in 1889.  He was an efficient member of that board.  Mr. Becker was a blacksmith by trade, and toiled at the forge since he retired from office.  He was a man who was whole-hearted, genial, and generous and had many friends.  He leaves a wife and family.
